Festival Venue:

“Overhill” aka Kanati Falls Ranch

  • Our festival is held in the village of Overhill, nestled in Bindbole Wood north of Hobbiton. But your GPS will probably find Kanati Falls Ranch more easily.

  • Kanati Falls Ranch

1322 Skamania Mines Rd, Washougal, WA 98671

Cell service can be spotty, so we recommend reviewing these or your favorite GPS directions and taking a screenshot before you get in the car.

For most people, you will approach Washougal going East on WA-14 E. When you reach Washougal, you will encounter a traffic circle - take the 3rd exit onto Washougal River Rd.  After 6.8 miles you will turn left onto NE Hughes Rd.  After 1.6 miles NE Hughes Rd turns into NE 392nd Ave - continue onto NE 392nd Ave. In 0.3 miles NE 392nd Ave turns right and becomes NE 28th St - continue onto NE 28th St.  In another 0.9 miles the road will become NE Miller Rd - continue onto NE Miller Rd. After 0.9 miles turn rights onto NE 39th St.  In 0.1 miles turn left onto NE 412th Ave. In 0.2 miles turn right onto Skamania Mines Rd. After 0.9 miles Kanati Falls Ranch will be on your right.

Skamania Mines Road is paved up to the point of the property driveway on the right. You’ll know you have gone too far if you cross a bridge over the river and the road turns to gravel.

After you enter the property you will go about a quarter-of-a-mile and reach a fork in the road. Proceed to the left and after about another quarter-of-a-mile, you’ll arrive.

  • There is plenty of room for parking.

The property is located in a forested area and approached via a winding road. Please take your time and drive carefully.

  • Portable restrooms will be available for attendees. Access to indoor spaces and restroom facilities will be strictly limited due to the location’s delicate plumbing.  If you need access to an indoor restroom for a specific reason, please reach out to Risa at risa.colistro@gmail.com to discuss.

  • We’ll be at a higher elevation than Portland and nestled in the forest. Plan for it to be cooler than Portland.

Rain or shine, the Festival will go on! The current weather forecast is predicting a high in the 60s and some rain throughout the day. It’s probably a good year to bring a cloak.

Access to indoor spaces will be strictly limited, so please plan accordingly

  • Please contact Risa at risa.colistro@gmail.com if you would like to bring your dog to discuss their demeanor and attendance.

  • The Washougal River runs through the property. The depth and speed of the river varies throughout the year. There are a couple paths down to the river and all are welcome to enjoy amazing photo opps, wading, swimming in pools, etc.

If you are bringing children, please plan for their safety and supervision given the river access.

  • It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the small city of Washougal and about 25 minutes to get to Camas.

Both Washougal and Camas have AirB&B options.

Local hotels include Best Western and Camas Boutique Hotel.
